What to Expect

Crankshaft magazine is all about collector cars, regardless where they were built, what badge they wear, or how much or little they are worth. All cars are given equal treatment. We admire and appreciate anything and everything with four wheels, from the unusual to the mundane, one-offs or mass produced.

Not in Crankshaft

Unlike most collector-car magazines that solely focus on ultra-rare cars that few of us can afford, we don’t.

We are not interested in multi-million dollar cars and what they sold for at auctions.

We do not publish stories about investments, values and what you should collect.

We do not bragg about ourselves, what we found, what we bought and how much we sell cars for.

Our Background

Crankshaft is created by a small group of serious gearheads who have been in automotive publishing for many decades. We are the editors who created Hemmings Classic Car, Hemmings Muscle Machines and Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazines, and now we’re all working together again at Crankshaft.
